Two incidents cause concern for residents

Back-to-back shark attacks in the Florida Keys have caused serious concerns for residents. The incidents occurred over the weekend, with a 10-year-old boy losing part of his leg after being bitten by a shark while snorkeling. The second attack involved a 20-year-old man who was attacked while spearfishing.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office released bodycam video and 911 call audio from the second incident, in which the victim was bitten on the thigh and foot. The man's injuries were not life-threatening.

Florida leads the nation in shark attacks, with two men being bitten in Key West within two days last week. Experts advise beachgoers to avoid swimming or snorkeling near areas where sharks are known to feed, and to never harass a shark.
